Would you like to attend a workshop to learn how the CEFR relates to teaching and learning in Junior Cycle?
We are delighted that our application has been successful for another round of RELANG workshops. The RELANG initiative offers training to stakeholders in the Member States of the European Union and the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML) in exploring relationships between foreign language curricula and the CEFR and relating language tests and examinations to the CEFR.
On this occasion we are inviting teachers to attend on the 21st and 22nd of February. The event will take place in Marino Institute of Education.
During the 2 day workshop dedicated to teachers we will have the opportunity to
- acquire confidence that they understand how the broad alignment of the new Junior Cycle curriculum with the CEFR can be reflected in assessment
- acquire competence to create items that test students with proficiency on the A1/A2 bands of the CEFR
- acquire knowledge on the new ‘plus levels’ and the new ‘Pre-A1’ level and how they relate to teaching and learning
There are 25 places available. Please note that standard subsistence and travel rates apply for attendance to the event. Attendees are expected to submit all receipts and use public transport when possible.
