Dr. Kenia Puig i Planella, Language Advisor,
Kenia joined PPLI in 2012. She looks after teaching and learning. Kenia works on the development and implementation of short courses in heritage languages;.she develops and delivers CPD for MFL teachers in both initial and continuing teacher education; and works closely supporting schools and teachers and collaborating with relevant agencies. Her interests centre on teaching and learning in foreign language education and her areas of expertise include Curriculum development, the CEFR, Multilingualism, Intercultural Education and Digital Technologies in the MFL classroom, Kenia is a graduate of the Universitat de Barcelona. In 1992 she moved to Cork where completed a Masters in Applied Linguistics. Subsequently Kenia worked in the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies in Dublin City University where she completed her PhD. She worked as a language advisor with the Modern Languages in Primary School Initiative before joining PPLI.
